Make Some Money

Read the directions!

Follow the link to join the stock market game.  How much money can you make?

When you click the link you must first register.  After you have registered you must enter the class password.

In order to buy stocks you first need to do some research on different companies.  Go to http://finance.yahoo.com  and look around on the main page OR search for a company.  If you know what kind of company you want to invest in, you can do your own research.

When you choose a stock you wish to buy, click on "trade now".  Enter the amount of shares you wish to purchase and make the transaction.  Everyone will start with $10,000.

You do not have to spend all of your money today, but you must buy stock in AT LEAST 1 company!!

Argument Wars

Yet another game to better understand the Judicial system.  AS ALWAYS, READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS!

In Argument Wars, you will be a lawyer in a major Court Case.  You must select one of the cases and try to win over the judge by supporting your argument.

After the judge has made his ruling, print out your certificate and turn it in for your grade.

If you would like an extra credit grade, play through another court case and attach it your first certificate.

Branches of Power

Today you will be playing a game that incorporates skills from all three branches of government.  Go to the link listed below to get to the game.  You may either sign in or click no thanks (but you will be unable to save).  READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS SO YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY!  The object is to build towers by having all three branches of government cooperate with one another.  If you can build ten towers in 30 minutes, you win!  Let me know if you have any questions.
